Welcome to the Black Image web site. Black Image is a 6 piece indigenous band from Wujal Wujal, Hope Vale and Cooktown in Queensland Australia. After forming in 1997 the band has travelled throughout Australia performing their blend of rock, reggae, country, blues and traditional indigenous music. Understanding their role in the community and recognising the importance of a solid education, the band are currently working together with the State Library of Queensland to encourage the use of library facilities by the indigenous community.
