In 2002 Black Image released their first album titled Durrbil/ Dikarrba. Durrbil meaning red soil in the Guugu Yimithirr from their mother's side and Dikarrba meaning the Thompson Creek area of Wujal Wujal in the Kuku Yalangi language from their father's side. The album took their music to many parts of Australia via the Indigenous radio stations.
