Compilation CD
"Saltwater Songs: Indigenous Maritime Music from Tropical
Australia"
Black Image's song "Beautiful Land and Sea" is featured in this
compilation CD. The songs tell of their family, their land and the
sea, in particular the spectacular rainforest and reefs near Wujal
Wujal and the beautiful coloured sands of Hope Vale.
Saltwater Songs was produced through Central Queensland University
by Karl Neuenfeldt and Cairns studio whiz Nigel Pegrum. It features
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers from Queensland
and the Northern Territory with the emphasis on indigenous maritime
music.
